My Blue Ocean *update*

This past March I posted about Blue Ocean Strategy. I promised to give you an update on my personal Blue Ocean.

Burro

Here it is, though still a work in progress.

50% Blue Ocean, 25% Conversation Agent, 25% Dip: adds up to this:

I am finding my voice, and it is organizational development as a focus. This means going forward my writing will be through an organizational development lens. I’ll do my best not to wax academic (which shouldn’t be too hard, considering my graduate degree is in marketing, not OD!). I’ll trust all of you to keep me honest should I stray. You’ll notice a few new links to the right of this post on Human Systems Dynamics and Social Networks - this is leading edge in the field, check it out!

If you know of some great organizational development, organizational design, human systems design, or social networks blogs, please share with me.

I look forward to our shared journey and conversations.

    Joe:

This is great news, thank you for sharing it and for giving me some of the credit, although I believe the credit is mostly yours. You are very good at thinking together, and probably this is the main reason why your discovery fits with where you are gravitating naturally.

I like to think of all of us as masterpieces in progress. We give our whole life to being who we are in this moment. I do have an avalanche of resources and connections to share with you. My interest in organizational dynamics comes from a communications and branding angle; when organizations are not aligned, they cannot communicate effectively. Nor can they be a strong brand to build strong brands.

    Valeria,

THANK YOU for your kind words and incredible support. What would this be had I not come across your wonderful words on FastCompany’s site?

Our company mission is, “Relationships drive results.” Our relationships, conversations, stories, are our own unique puzzle We bring our entire selves to the moment, and are changed by it, for it - the masterpiece in progress!

I look forward to working with you on a project soon!

Thanks for updating us on this Joe … one of the things I love about blogging is watching how people challenge themselves and then talk about their progress, their challenges and frustrations.

I think it is these elements that connect us all … after all, what are we without our stories? And blogging is a continual reinvention of our own stories, day by day.
